The Letter N
"Nothing can separate us from God's love." Romans 8:39
"Now Christ is risen from the dead." 1 Cor 15:20 (it's Easter time for us, so I went with this one)
-exercise by number: write 10 or so activities on strips of paper, fold, and put in a cup; using a dice, have child draw out an action, then roll the dice- do the action that number of times (ex: draw jumping jacks, then rolls the number 6, then do 6 jumping jacks) (ex of activites: hip circles, jumping jacks, rocket boost, clap, blink, push ups, run to the door, spin, jump, turn head)
-glue noodles on the letter N
-finger tracing: I drew dashed numbers 1-10 on a piece of fingerpaint paper, then the kids used finger paints from paint over the numbers; could als modify this by finer tracing the numbers using shaving cream or chocolate pudding
-eat by number: we were using a 12 number dice, so I put numbers 1-12 in boxes on a sheet of paper, put a candy or goldfish in each box- take turns rolling the dice, you eat the candy in the box number that you roll- kids liked this :)
-snack idea: nuts, nectarine, or noodles for lunch (macaroni?)
