Letter O

The Letter O

"Oh, give thank to the Lord, for He is good." Psalms 107:1

-outer space: (both kids really liked this one.) We read the outer space books that we have. One was about stars and constellations- we made our own by using black construction paper, drawing a shape with chalk, then using a sharp kitchen tool (thermometer) to pierce holes in our shapes (placed the paper on carpet.) Then we took our papers in a dark closet, and shined a flashlight through them, and saw our constellations. The kids thought this was really neat.
-gathered household items (bottle caps, toilet paper rolls, cups) and dipped them in paint, used them as stampers to paint "O's"
-traced letter "O's" in glue, then sprinkled with Oatmeal
-Cheerio letter game: I wrote out all the letters in the kids' name, on paper. Then I wrote all the letters of the alphabet on pieces of paper, put them in a cup. I drew out the letters from the cup, called them out, and the kids put a cheerio on the letter I called, if it was in their name.
-snack: Orange Juice and Oreos
-other O ideas: the color orange, owls
