Letter P
"Praise the Lord. Give thanks to he Lord for He is good." Ps 106:1
-plant some plants (we needed to go to Lowes and buy a few plants- today was a good day to do it!)
-read some Letter P books
-using Pink and Purple Paper, we glued Pasta onto the paper into a letter P; was also made a Pattern by incorporating cheerios with the noodles
-make Playdough:
one cup flour
1/2 cup salt
1 tablespoon alum
1 tablespoon cooking oil
7/8 cup boiling water
packet of koolaid or food dye for color
glitter, optional
(mix dry ingredients, carefully pouring in boiling water, mix well and knead- mixture will be hot at first, store in airtight container in fridge)
did you know that cutting playdough with scissors is a good way to learn fine motor cutting? Also, my kids had fun slicing it with a knife and stabbing it with a fork.
Other P activities: Paint, Mr. Potato Head, Puzzles, make paper Pumpkin faces,
P snacks: popcorn, pretzels, popsicles
